2011-2012         

Humber School for Writers; Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing (attendance funded by an 
Alberta Foundation for the Arts Literary Arts Project grant) 
- Edited a novel draft (White Margarine) under the mentorship of Nino Ricci

2003-2007          

University of Calgary; Bachelor’s Degree in English, with distinction, and with a Concentration in Creative Writing
- Studied creative writing (2004-2007) under the mentorship of Nicole Markotić and
 Aritha van Herk
- Earned several awards based on academic merit, including:  ATJ Cairns Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship          (2004); Owen Family Scholarship (2004 & 2006); Kenneth MacLean Glazier Scholarship (2007)
